Sometime ago I had shared a small preview of a sneaker collaboration with Marcus Troy, his twin brother Naskademini and Fila. And you’ve guessed it, they have dropped and let me tell you, they look good and feel even better. Fila had set out to dip into the past and revive their 1995 release of the Fila Mindblower. Fila had reaching out to individuals who are not only creative but respectable cultural participants. Fila had asked these individuals to design their own interpretation of the warped logo sneaker. Their FILA Mindblower is a nod to the 1990s and the older heads that were present during the brothers’ childhood. The upper is reminiscent of the velour tracksuits, the jewelry and the cars that defined the era. One important feature to note is the insole, which outlines Little Burgundy, a neighbourhood in Montreal that has a special place for the twins and their friends. The Mindblower sneaker release will be complemented with a collection of apparel and accessories that features the signature warped FILA logo.
